About CASACOR
Inaugurated on June 8, 1987, in São Paulo, CASACOR is considered the largest exhibition of architecture, landscaping and interior design in the Americas, being present in 27 locations (Alagoas, Bahia, Bolivia, Brasília, Ceará, Ecuador, Espírito Santo, Santo, Franca, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Miami, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraguay, Paraiba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Peru, Ribeirão Preto, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina – Balneário Camboriú, Florianópolis and Itapema – and São Paulo).
Thus, since 1987, CASACOR gathers, every year, the most renowned interior designers, architects and landscapers to exhibit their great and inspiring projects and offer the best of this world.
In 2022, CASACOR turns 35 and with that, the São Paulo show will be held at the Conjunto Nacional, located on Avenida Paulista, one of the most iconic in the capital. Thus, the building that was abandoned for a decade, will come to life with the biggest decoration event in Brazil and will have 59 extremely well decorated rooms. With the theme inspired by the pandemic, the proposal of this edition, which will be unmissable, will be to present a new concept of home and, once again, to dictate a new trend.
How Indoor Location Integrates to the CASACOR Project
It is known that CASACOR is a reference in the field of architecture, interior design and landscaping and is also known for dictating trends in these areas. Featuring exuberant spaces that are capable of taking the breath away of any visitor, it is impossible not to be impressed by the exhibitions present in the place.
However, due to the extensive perimeter that groups all the architectural exhibitions, it is not uncommon to feel a little lost in the different spaces, in addition to having a keen curiosity to find out more information about the projects and those responsible.
Thus, for CASACOR, there is always a way to further elevate the experience of its visitors and with this purpose in mind, the company invested in digital transformation and relied on Zapt Tech for the success of this challenge.
In this way, the São Paulo unit now has a digital map of the place, allowing the public to view all environments and trace routes to the desired destination, also counting on alternative and accessible routes for people with locomotor difficulties, as wheelchair users.
In addition, with the advancement of technology, the way we relate to the physical world has changed drastically, which has demanded the existence of more dynamic and interactive spaces so that this connection is maintained throughout the stay in the respective place.
From this condition, visitors start to seek more practicality in their experiences and with that, the environments that fulfill this need, end up standing out and being more successful when it comes to improving the user experience.
It was with this in mind that CASACOR decided to go further in this project and launched another challenge for Zapt Tech. Therefore, with the proposal to create environments that talk to its visitors, it used the best of indoor location to fulfill that demand.
In this way, through the technology of beacons, of which more than 150 were used by the two floors of the show, visitors who circulate there receive notifications on their smartphones – which are based on their geolocation – with relevant information about the environment.
In this way, it is possible to know the whole concept behind the environments, details such as furniture and shades of the color palette, in addition to the professionals involved and their motivations and inspirations for carrying out the work to be contemplated. In addition, if the visitor is interested in any of the displayed items, the purchase can be made on the spot, through the screen on which they remained connected.
With that, the visitor doesn't have to bother to research about it and starts to receive what is most relevant in each space on a tray. Then, when it moves to the next environment, the Beacons accompany this change and deliver new information about the new location, thus making the experience richer and more immersive.
Amazing Maps and Indoor Location
But what is Amazing Maps?
O Amazing Maps is a Zapt Tech platform that aims to enrich the user experience, guiding people to move around indoors and outdoors so that they can easily locate themselves, trace routes and obtain important information about the respective location. Thus, as its name suggests, Amazing Maps consists of a real projection of the physical space on a digital map, which can be accessed by smart devices, with or without the use of applications. In this way, both the Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Indoor Positioning System (IPS) are used as a basis to make full navigation possible for users.
How Does Indoor Location Work?
It is no longer news that technology is present in the most diverse contexts of our lives, just as we no longer depend on a physical map to be able to locate ourselves somewhere. With the Global Positioning System (GPS), simply access a device smart to get information about the external location of a place, such as ways to get to the chosen destination. Thus, an example of the use of GPS is in navigation and delivery applications, such as Waze, Google Maps e food, which are part of the daily lives of many people.

The solution to this dilemma lies in the Indoor Positioning System (IPS), which uses technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy, WiFi e UWB extension and other features such as a compass, gyroscope and accelerometer to provide accurate data on the internal location of environments. Thus, IPS allows the location in indoor spaces and, consequently, the integration of other devices to add several functionalities to the system, such as beacons.
